Coated or painted blades that undergo the sharpening process will lose their coating where a new edge or bevel is created.

This is un avoidable in creating a new sharpened edge.

The degree of coating loss will depend on the angle of the bevel needed to be created or followed in order to create a sharp and functional blade. This varies from knife to knife depending on blade thickness.

Customers should reach out to us prior to ordering for further clarification if they feel they have any queries related to their knives and or possible outcomes. Sending images also greatly helps.
