Victorinox. The best all rounder for the price?

Victorinox was founded in Switzerland in 1884 and is famous worldwide for the Swiss Army Knife, but its professional kitchen knives are equally deserving of recognition.

Victorinox uses tough, corrosion-resistant stainless steels combined with thin, practical blade profiles and excellent cutting geometry. They may lack the visual theatre of expensive forged knives, but their performance is outstanding.

In our opinion, Victorinox are by far the best-value kitchen knives in the world when performance, steel quality, blade geometry and price are considered together. They are easy to maintain, extremely durable and sharpen exceptionally well.
